Swimming works!
Started swimming. I cant find a downfall, it is good on the joints, I am very sore afterwards, it is very peaceful, I do freestyle, breast stroke and sidestroke. It is a great cardio, yet I feel like I did a powerlifting body workout, does anyone else swim?

Sidestroke = synchronized swimming stroke =p
If you have confidence in your form/technique, try doing fly's. Great cardio and back work.

I just started swimming last week. I swim 1k four days a week. Man that swim kicks my ass. I'm by no means a good swimmer so it makes it even harder. I do breast, freestyle, and back stroke. I do freestyle the most, but there is just no way I could do all freestyle right now. I'm trying to work my way up to doing all 20 laps non stop. I feel like puking after the swims, and I"m all light head and shit.

Make sure you swim HIT style, not LSD (swimming LSD has even less utility than running LSD does...)

Ever heard of the combat swimmer sidestroke? That's what I do occasionally to help prepare me for BUD/S (SEAL training). Some of the baddest motherf*ckers on the planet do the CSS, so STFU.
