Strength and energy?

I seem to be doing the same things over and over. Consequently, my strength and energy levels seem to be dropping. What's going on?

Youre burned out. Change your routine and rest more.

is it better to take a week or so off or just hop into a new routine. i've been looking into changing my workout completely because i've read some stuff about how you can plateau. i think i might be at this point.

We can not tell if you do not post your routine. If you have hit a "plateau" you are doing something wrong.

How is your diet? sleep? rest days? water intake?

My weight training consists of high reps and low weights with active rest between sets of doing 25 sit ups, with the idea of getting in close to 200-300 reps throughout my workout. i usually run for a mile to warm up at 10 min. mile pace and then cool down with the same running. I don't like resting when working out, i would rather continue to sweat it out. i train with a few friends twice a week grappling and stand up but am fairly new to MMA.

I always do both. I try to get to the end of a cycle or phase on my current routine (normally it's just the end of the training week). Then I get plenty of rest the following week -- maybe focusing on some light conditioning or lightweight lifts. During that off week, I look into new programs and compare them and see which one fits my needs the best and then dive in at the start of the next week.

How many days a week do you take off? Have you considered alternating some of the BW conditioning with Weight training?

Really man, what EXACTLY do you do? Post exercises/sets/reps. Also, how did you plateau? Can`t get any more reps? Can`t increase the weight?
