sprints and bas rutten workout

Do you guys think its ok to do the bas rutten mma workout tape one day and the very next day run interval sprints. would it lead to over training?

I imagine it all depends on the kind of shape you're in. If you're sean sherk, no problem. If you are just starting the Bas workout with little prior conditioning then I'd wait and see how it treats you. Overtraining is a serious bitch and led to me getting bronchitis in the middle of the summer, which was a serious boner-killer.

I'm not in the best shape but I ain't no chump, I can just about get through the bas rutten workout 1 1/2 times before I really gas.
I was just worried about putting to much of a workload on my heart. I think I'll try it for a week and see how I feel. Thanks

If you put maximum effort like you should in Bas's routine, then you might overtrain

if its too much i would suggest stopping a round before you think you're completely dead. and go to that round for at least 4 more sessions until you feel you can do them comfortably and add some more rounds. then maybe try incorporating some sprints on the off days if you feel up to it. its better to start low and THEN go higher. dont overkill the first time. its all gradual
