Sore Neck!
So i just got back from my class and my instructor was teaching a more advanced move. To get out you had to tuck and roll. well he didnt say that and everyone just did it. i ended up fucking up my neck because no one taught me how to tuck and roll. any suggestions on getting the muscles in my neck to relax?
any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

If it's a muscle pain treat it like any other muscle, rest it, ice it if need be and you may want to get a quality muscle rub like tiger balm

I have a sprained neck right now from training the Muay Thai clinch.
I had a bad neck injury playing hockey 2 yrs ago and now it's a weak point for me, and probably will be for life. Sucks, but I'm learning to deal with it.
In any case, I have neck pain quite often, and what I find helps healing is good diet, rest, and bracing it in some way - like a neck brace or even a tensor bandage wrapped around the neck for support while you're at home. Also be sure that you're sleeping in a natural and comfortable position.

I feel your pain. My neck is extremely sore after yesterday. I hurt (strained) it yesterday lifting. Today has been one of my most miserable days at work ever. I'm grimacing in pain whenever I have to turn my head.

If that's the case sounds to me like you pinched a nerve.
What was the diagnosis?

i sometimes get what i call a "creek" in my neck. cant move my neck for some time, usually lasts around a day. Dont really feel the need 2 seek medical advice although would be intresting to see what exactly it is.

I always hated neck DOM's from wrestling and grappling or getting punched in the face too many times, realy annoying to do anything when you neck no longer wants to support you head.
