smoking weed

i know weed has harmful affects on the body, but is it ok to just smoke 1 or 2 blunts every weekend? i don't do it everyday, but on the weekends, i like to kick back with a couple of blunts. i do judo and have done it for a while, but when i started smoking i was already pretty inactive in competition. there's a competition coming up sometime in may, and was wondering if i should quit smoking now, altogether? or is the occasional blunt ok?

Any amount of smoking will have an effect on your cardio. A couple blunts/joints/doobs/whatevers won't make a huge difference but it will make a difference, especially if you do it every weekend. My advice would be to stop smoking now and see if you notice a difference. If you do notice a difference either stop smoking all together or make it a habit to stop smoking for 6-8 weeks before you compete so your lungs have a chance to recover before you compete.

weed is terrible for your cardio. you'll risk gassing if you need decent endurance in your competition. I'd suggest cutting altogether.

Bake brownies instead.

Make some hash butter and use it for cooking. That way you can get the effect of the THC without compromising your health.

The major difference I've noticed since I stopped smoking weed is my motivation and dedication to be 'active' have increased.

Unlike most people, when I was stoned I couldn't fall asleep. I would sit in bed until the early hours of the morning and my mind would just be ticking away thinking crazy stoned thoughts. Then I would wake up feeling really shitty.
There would be no way I could wake up and train like I do now.

And then there is the Munchie factor which makes it difficult to maintain a healthy way of eating.
