not often but i stretch before i run.

what i find helps post running is, you get like a sock right, then cut off the end of it where ur toes go, so its now an elastic tube.

put the icepack in that and ride it up towards your shin, so the icepack stays there.

You can now sit at the computer or lie down without them falling off and shit.

I used to do this when I did sprints everyday.

Actually we're the same weight. I used to get them pretty regularly at 200+lbs, but since dropping it I haven't had so much as a hint, and that's with running hard 4-5 days a week. So my advice: get fat, then thin.

Had it twice now, it's a real bitch. It seems to get better at the moment but I'm taking it easy because I don't want to risk anything
