Why did no one suggest replacing his shins with titanium? That what I'd do.

Shin pain is probly because your running on hard surfaces (road/pavement etc) and your shoes are not cussioning the impact on the hard surface (sending all the shockwaves into your shin and causing them to micro fracture, which is why they hurt like a bitch), first advice is stop running on hard surfaces (stick to mud/grass/sand etc) second is invest in a good pair of running shoes.
Same goes for the jump rope, try skipping on your toes more (lessens the impact on the shin) and try it on a softer surface (invest in a foam mat? You can get them in Argos for like £15 or so).
Finally see a doctor about the shins, you may have underlying issues from training so long and worsening the condition. Hope this helps.

I disagree with this. You need to drop that cushioned bullshit. Real men sleep on rock and wear ****l. You need to tough that shit out and let your shins actually
adapt to the structural demands you are imposing. And you probably need to learn better form to help with shock absorption. Thick, soft shoes also tend to result in people stepping too hard.
I'd also think about seeing a doctor depending on the severity. Just so you can't sue me.
