SEAL Workout, Good for MMA??

http://navyseal.s5.com/workouts.html

This is the workout that is recommended before you go to BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition /SEAL school) I just finished phase 2. Surprisingly, this helps tremendously with fighting. It's a great way to build your cardio and endurance. What I like about this workout too, is it gives 2 places to start... At the top, you have a starting point for those people who don't really train that much, or who are just starting. Then you have phase 2, for you more advanced people. I'd highly recommend a lot of people getting started on this. It gives you plenty of days to rest (I put in days where I did a ruck march or weight training, so that I will become stronger faster, but that's optional.

Well if anyone has the resources required to develope a rock solid training program its the US government. I was hoping to see a diet plan with this routine. With all that running, you'll have to be putting down some serious grub if you don't want to be skin on bone. It would be interesting to see an MMA fighter train strictly on this program and see how he faired in the octagon/ring.

There's a book called Navy Seal Nutrition that goes pretty in-depth. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/157...Fencoding=UTF8
You can usually find a copy at a Half-Priced books or similar store. I've only scanned it briefly, and it seems pretty in-depth. You might want to check it out.

Glad you guys enjoy the post, I hope to see you guys present good results from it! I got on it and I got great results from it.

Paul, yes when it says 8:30 pace, that's per mile.

Great book post Stewy, I've heard of that book before.

This is also a great book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/157...Fencoding=UTF8

My friend has it, and it goes into nutrition in addition to exercises. Although I think the exercises are the same as the initial website I showed y'all.
