scrambles

i'm fat old fucker doing sub grappling and i'd like to get my scrambles back.
age, injuries and inactivity have slowed me down some but my strength, cardio, flexibility and balance are all still pretty good. nevertheless, i'm just not as quick/explosive as i used to be.

rolling with faster folks help, but i'd like some sorta program exercise/outside of the gym that i can work on.

any advice?

thanks in advance

If your fat, then losing weight would definitely help... I'd say to start just add some running with some sprint work mixed in. It will help you lose weight which will help your quickness, plus you will get quicker the more you roll.
