Running vs. mixing it up

I use to just run for cardio for 30 minutes, and it worked pretty well. However I've been reading that part of what is making a certain exercise easier is part conditioning, but also part of your body becoming more economical.

My question is, would it be better to run, or should I mix it up so like Day 1 is running, Day 2 I bike, and Day 3 I swim (all with equal intensity BPM, so it's not like I run for 3 miles and bike for 3 miles as well).

Yes that is very good for your cardio and for overall workouts. Keeping that BPM up is the key.

Switch it up man, no real reason not too. Hell even changing your pace works wonders.

Even if you just run, it's a good idea to vary distance and intensity frequently. Some days I run 45 minutes at an 8 minute pace, and other days I kick it for just 20 minutes at 6 minutes per. Other days I may do intervals of 100-800m at the track.

Variety is indeed the spice of life.

With respect,

Sohan
