Running with stuff

So I hate running for the most part, it bores me to death. After watching Sherks All Access I was wondering if anyone runs with stuff. They said sometimes he runs up the stairs with weights to change things up.

Well what else do you guys do when running or sprinting to change it up? I dont mean just different times or distances.

I thought of carrying my old heavy bag with me, its 60lbs I think, just shouldering it and running with it, then shouldering it a few times. Carrying it up hills sounds like a good idea too. So any other suggestions for this type of training? BTW I dont have any bands for resistance.

We have a rocket test tower that's about 10 stories high and has stairs... I was going to take a sandbag for a stroll up that some day soon. Not sure if I want to shoulder it, or put it across both shoulders... maybe zercher carry it for kits and shiggles, depending on how heavy I go... maybe just getting up the stairs to begin with would be good.

Hill sprints are good medicine too.

I don't mean to tell a pro fighter what's what, but I've never met anyone who didn't have knee problems resulting from using ankle weights.

I guess I should also mention my pool of research only includes three people.

Yeah, not really a good idea.

Adam,
I like to do burpies and other similar stuff to pre-fatigue my legs.

I've ran carrying a heavy bag before and my is it always a tough and humbling experience.

If you have any sand hills nearby try running them. Good if you have bad joints and adds a bit of challenge

I do trail runs, with steep hills, with a 50 lb log on my shoulders...sometimes I'll hike/ jog/ run trails with a 30 lb vest.
Probably destroying my knees in the process...
