Running Replacement
Not to sound like a girl, but I don't like to run. Is there anything that can directly replace running, i.e. give the same results? I am slightly intruiged by your burpee thingys.

cardio-wise, i like running, burpees, cycling, jumping rope, and swimming. i dont know that theres anything that will give the same results as running, but you can burn just as many calories doing other things like cycling. running is just a lot easier cuz all you need is you and the ground.

Dude, running sucks and I don't see the need to do it more than once a week. There are so many things better than running. Let's see here.
1. Jump rope
2. Swim
3. Stairs
4. Burpees
5. Complexes - Complexes are performing two or more exercises in a sequence with the same load. You complete all your reps with one movement first, then complete all your reps with the next movement.
6. Supersets - No, not your normal supersets. Get your HR up and do an exercise. Instead of resting do another exercise at high intensity (jump rope, pushups, burpees, etc). Do not rest. Remember to breath. Keep going for about 30 min or so. This will increase your lactic acid threshold as well.

Try doing tabata-style sprints instead of distance running, and do them on grass or sand if you can. I've been doing this in the evening and I'm not half as fucked up as when I was running distance, and it's all around better cardio. In fact I'm close to the point where I can do a sprint session every night - and that's in addition to regular one-hour morning workouts of BB complexes, get-ups, bag work, drills, etc.

hey.... Hey.... HEY!!!!!! Aww...poor baby doesn't like running I see it kills your knees and feet. Well...what surfaces are you running on? Have you good running shoes? VERY important to have proper shoes. Do you do any resistance training?? To keep your knee stabilizing muscles strong?
Swimming, biking.... running isnt the only cardio....but...to not do it...just cause you don't like it well...that's not being a girl...that's being a pussy! I think a lot of the mentioned exercises are still going to hurt your knees. Make sure you have good shoes no matter what you try.

"Directly replace running"... If you want to get better at running there is no replacement. You need to run. More specifically, you need to train for your running goals.
Now if you are running for cardio conditioning or fat loss then you can replace running with any number of activities and methods of those activities to meet your goals. Should you be interested in improving your 'fight' conditioning, you can get a long way by using interval style training. Tabata's fall into this general area (burpees or DB thrusters). You could also do sprint (interval, Fartlek,...) work on a bike, rower or other cardio machine at the gym.
If you are interested in general cardio condition, health or weight management pick out a few activities/machines that you enjoy. Swimming, biking, ellipticals, rowers and the like are work just fine. you just need to figure out the intesity and duration that will help you meet your goals. Keep it interesting and rotate through several activities each week.
Then again you can always get some more mat/ring time.
