not an expert.
I am very observant.
I have never seen any mention of 'okay form' or 'good enough form' in any serious or informed discussion of resistance training. Its either 'form' or 'strict form' or reduce the weight and/or reps and/or periodization or interval til postural awareness is gained. That is to say, 'if you aren't doing the work correctly, fix it.'

Address the issue with fitness techniques like stretching, research, technique reps using extremely light weight and maximal ROM, and patience. Resistance training is a process, not a destination.

Its better to correct the pronation in the pelvis due to tightened pelvic girdle.

Who can go ATG with hands behind the head and rotate hips? I can. And Im not exceptionally strong or flexible by any measurement. I do work on fundamentals religously.

I have to agree with Kenzo. Keeping a neutral spine is crucial to the health and safety of your back, especially under heavy loads.

Below is a picture of the vertabrae of the spine and the discs that rest between them. The discs are filled with a jelly like substance that helps to cushion the vertabrae. If your back is rounded excessive pressure is placed on one end of the disc. This might not bother you once or twice but over time this wears down on the discs. Poor posture can lead to bulging and herniated discs (when the jelly like substance pops out of the discs and the vertabrae have nothing to cushion in between. Think about your vertabrae grinding against eachother).

Yeah just read Stuart McGill's works. Damage to discs is cumulative. You may not blow it now or even in the next 5 years but it will all add up.

You hear people saying how they put their back out bending over to tie their laces or sometimes even when sneezing, hgardly high load situations. The straw that broke the camels back...

Zercher deads, SLDLs, and back extensions are bent back lifts. What have ya'll to say about them as regards to back health? Personally my back usually feels okay when I do these lifts.

Incline situps are a different story. Those are a no-no for my back.

Those lifts are extremely risky because of the fact that they can rarely be performed with correct technique. I can can drive my car with my feet but that doesn't mean I should do it. I just want to give you guys the facts about safe and effective training so you can stay injury free. It only takes 1 bad rep and your out of commission for a few weeks or more. LAte
