Hello all, Feb 1st I start dropping pounds to get to a fighting weight by the summer.

I will be i the gym doing BJJ and MT three time a week for 2 hours a night
I will be at the Y doing cardio and lifting twice a week
No alcohol
I will only be eating:
Chicken
Fish
Minimal red meat
All veggies fresh
Protein
Egg whites
Oatmeal

Please comment or add or remove what you think would be helpful, thank you very much in advance. I want to drop 50lbs in 4 months.

Eat your egg yolks, they're good for you.

Have you read the FAQs in the S&P, Conditioning and D&S forums? If not, do so. You may want to post your lifting routine in the S&P forum to get some feedback. If it doesn't include compound lifts (e.g. squats, deadlifts, bench) you will get flamed but it will be good for you

50 lb in 4 months is doable but fairly ambitious. Good luck and train hard.

make shure you are working in a callorie defect every day. if 50 is the magic number then you only have to loose 40 cut the last ten the week of the fights. I would also try to run at least 3 miles in the morning 3 or 4 times a week. I like to run on the days I roll and spar. i don't know why but running in the morning seems to help me loose weight better than running at night and in a 30 min. run you are burning about 300 to 400 callories give or take depending on how hard you run mabee even 500, so you add on a good BJJ session you just about worked off all the callories you ate that day.

When you run in the morning you amp up your metäbolism for the entire day. When you do it at night your metäbolism goes up until you go to bed and then it returns to normal.

Running in the morning vs evening has always been a big debate

Well, I could be wrong, but I believe a GSP is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.
