imm tech is the shit...you have to listen to Dance with the Devil, and You Never Know-two of the greatest rap songs ever. point of no return, industrial revolution, internally bleeding, the prophecy, are all good. Jedi Mind Tricks is another one of my favorite rappers-Eve of War, War Ensemble, Army of the Pharoahs.

Talib - I Try
Cypress Hill - Prelude to a Come-up
Ghostface - Clipse of Doom
MOP f/ Jay-Z - 4 Alarm Blaze (samples "Eye of the Tiger")
Outkast - Bombs over Baghdad
Goodie Mob - Sole Sunday
Bobby Digital (RZA) - Glocko Pop
If you listen to any of these, I'd be interested to know if you like any of them. I love listening to rap while working out. It's definitely what gets me psyched.

If you like Immortal Technique, check out Dead Prez. Their entire first album "Let's Get Free" is some of the best political hip hop I have ever heard. Also check out The Coup, Sabac, and Paris for more awesome political hip hop.
If you're looking for regular rap, peep Tech N9ne, he has a ridiculously fast flow, Ill Bill and Non Phixion are dope, Jedi Mind Tricks and Talib Kweli are also good underground artists. DMX of course brings intensity that few other artists since Tupac can match, great for working out. Older Wu-Tang classics are some of the rawist shit ever. Xzibit is aite with some dope tracks but a lot of mediocre ones. That's all I can think of for now

While this is only kind of rap, my favorite cardio cd is Violent Epiphany by Icepick. Icepick is a side project of some of the guys from Hatebreed (my favorite hardcore band), and Danny Diablo (the only Puerto Rican jew in the rap game).

Two I would recommend:
50 Cent feat. Eminem, Cashsis, and Lloyd Banks - "You Don't Know"
Dr. Dre & Ice Cube - "Natural Born Killah"

Just a warning, if you like rap music, NEVER listen to metal. Once you do, there's no turning back.
