After my first fight, I took the next week really easy, because I needed a mental break more than anything else, although after the fight camp, my body also needed a rest. I cut a fair amount of weight, so even though I'm resting the week before, that takes a toll also.
My second fight, I took a lot of time off, because my rib got broken, and I had a knee surgery coming up in a few weeks.
One of my teammates had a situation similar to yours and was back in the gym the following Monday.
So, as you can see, situation will dictate.
