Question/Help with 100 Burpees

After reading about burpees here numerous times I finally tried to do 100. It was a pretty tough workout for me (I'm not in good shape anymore). I did like them a lot. Probably one of my favorite workouts in a while because I felt it for the next 2 days. But what I'm wondering is how often can/should this be incorperated into a routine? I don't like to lift weights anymore. I've found more enjoyment in bodyweight exercises and I also have the Bas Rutten MMA workout tapes which have been used infrequently. I basically at this point in my life feel like a beginner with working out and want to do things right as far as conditioning, and strength building. With my schedule I usually only have 30-45 minutes a day. Anybody have any suggestions how to juggle these workout options into a weekly/ daily routine?

It's going to highly depend on your work capacity and everything else that you do. I'm currently trying to get a better 100 burpee time, but I'm also strength training, running, hitting the heavy bag, grappling and doing complexes through the weak. I'm able to do about 3 days a week of burpees of 50 burpees or more in a time period. I'm trying to structure something a bit better, and here is what I'm thinking of trying out.

One day a week, I'll do 100 burpees but not in a specific length of time. I'm thinking something like 5 sets of 20. It will be a bit more relaxed and take 10-15 minutes. Another day, I'll do a 4 minute tabata of burpees. That is 56 burpees with 8 per interval. The third day of burpees that week would be a timed challenge. Depending on how I feel, I may do a timed 50 burpee, 75 burpee, or 100 burpee.

As I said, I'll be doing all of that while lifting 3 times a week, hitting the bag, running 3 times a week, grappling, etc. What is your schedule like besides that? You would probably benefit from sprints and lifting as well. Even if you don't like strength training, you can do some complexes or something. Why don't you like to lift?

I used to lift heavy in high school and the Navy. But I had people to work out with and a lot of free time. Now my weights options are limited, my time too. Wife, a 5 yr. old, and a 3 week old. Full time job and house duties. My best bet is to get in quick workouts at home. I researched some bodyweight exercises and enjoy challenging myself with the burpees, 100 pullups, jumping squats, pushups, etc. Plus I'm kinda just getting back into it (like I said I'm out of shape).
I like what you said about the burpees (the different variations) I wasn't sure if you could overtrain with them. I run also, but like I said I have at the most less than an hour of time each day. I'm trying to make the most of that time and get overall healthy. I know it's something I have to figure out for myself with the time I got. But I always get a lot of good info on this site so I was asking for my specifics just to see what people had to say. Thank you for responding.

Okay, I'll try again. Basically it boils down to this. I got about 30-45 minutes a day. I'm trying to just get into better shape all over (strength/cardio/physique). I'm looking for the most bang for my "buck" (time). I used to wrestle in high school and was in awesome shape. Those days are long gone. When I tried the burpees I was impressed by the all over soreness my body had like they actually worked. I was looking to see how frequently they could be done and how to supplement with bodyweight exercises/ running/ Bas tapes. Weights aren't an option because I just don't have the free time right now. You answered my question on the frequency /week so I'll probably give them a try 3 times a week (just not 100 all the time).
Thanks for the post I always find a lot of useful info here and I thought I would ask my own personal questiojn.

If you're up for training 6 days a week for around 45 minutes, here is what I'd do if I was you. Anytime I put warmup, it could be whatever you want. A light job, a couple Bas tape rounds, jump rope, etc.
Day 1: Warmup, Timed Burpee Challenge (50-100 depending on where you are at), Stretch
Day 2: LSD Run, Stretch
Day 3: Bas Rutten Tapes/Bag Work, Core work
Day 4: Run (medium pace - 1-2 miles), 4 min Tabata burpees, Stretch
Day 5: Bas Rutten Taps/Bag Work, Core work
Day 6: Warmup, Sprints, 5 sets of 20 burpees, Stretch
