question about the ganja (serious)
Hey guys, im an amateur MMA competitor and I train extremely hard to the point that my body can take no more.
Now, once in a while after my grueling running drills I come to my apartment and lay down on the sofa, put in a fight DVD and take a couple puffs and it really relaxes my body and calms me down.
But the question I have, is smoking this stuff (which is not on a daily basis, only a couple hits every couple days) detrimental to my conditioning? Does it make me slow? Is it bad for my muscles? And also does it kill brain cells (cuz one of my buddies told me alcohol does but not the grass, and I dont drink)?
I would really appreciate some answers from some experienced guys or guys who know alil bit more about this than I do.

I played Basketball/Football in high school and used to smoke. What I found was that, if I was already in shape and stayed in shape, it didnt hurt my conditioning if it was just every now and then. If I stopped conditioning and kept smoking, it made it harder to get back into shape. Also, the better stuff you smoke, the less smoke you will inhale. You could also cook with it. I would not partake in the ganja too close to actually competing.
I personally found no ill effects on my muscles.
Also, I find it better alternative to drinking if I am training or in season. Drinking makes me feel like crap the next time I work out, but thats just me. I can smoke the night before I lift at 8am and have a great session. Cant do that with drinking.

There's a ton of threads on this already.
Summary: Any smoke will, to some degree, hinder you.
My personal opinion: Digesting THC is fine. I have yet to see anyone come with a good argument against that, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist.

Well, you have a point there, but if it's done after training or on a non training day ya should be ok.

smoking weed
smoking weed is just as bad for your lungs as ciggarettes. the thing is you dont smoke as much weed as you would tobbaco. just limit yourself on the weed, if you keep your tolarance down, you will be able to get high of of 2 or 3 hits forever. for me i can smoke and workout anytime and i dont think i hurts my work out at all. it make me enjoy it more. its better for you to use a bowl cuz the papers are the worse than the weed itself, dont smoke blunts, or put anything else in your weed. a vaporizor cost like $120.00 and that gets you high without the smoke! look it up
