pyramid exercises

hey guys,
what are the benefits of pyramid training, i read that special forces use them for pullups, dips, pushups, abs.
also can u use them for benching, cleans?

You can use them for any exercise that you want. I think they are a good workout becuase they are hard as hell. I do them with pushups and burpees.
