pushups?

I do push ups in between rounds of jump rope. I try to keep moving even in between rounds during training. Is this good or bad?

it breaks up your cardio but moves into core & total body.

i'm all for it.

i make my students do 50 speed crunches and 50 elbow drop push ups each time they tap when rolling. its a good way add a diff spin into sudden explosive issues

I think you should do burpees instead.

instead of the full range, only do push ups from the range of your elbow drop in terms of distance.

let gravity since you so its more explosive and its point blank range push.

i find that range very important in stand up grappling.

end range push ups seems to be better for long range boxing but issue is, push ups rarely implode the explosive muscles (of the 3 types of muscle fibers) required at that range.

i think what he means is that you start from the ground and go up to where your elbow is at 90 degrees. So the very first part of the range of a pushup, again I Think this is what he means.
