Pulled Hamstring

Well ive done it again, for the 3rd time ive pulled my hammy on my right leg, also the muscle right behind my knee at the joint of my leg feels as if there is damage done to it. The doctor told me i should rest with no physical activity for about 3-4 weeks. NO WAY. I want to get into shape for the summer, while my cardio training is going to greatly be affected by the pain and i may not be able to run as long,do you guys think it is ok to continue with my regular weight training routine?

Anything that works your injured area....bad idea. Take some time off dude, you'll only do more harm than good if you try working too early.

I had the same injury, not nearly as bad as yours sounds. I self-treated with ice and rest. I DID weight train, but upper body only. After a couple of weeks I was able to start doing legs again and LIGHT cardio. It still barks at me on occasion, but I back off when that happens.

Cycling does not seem to bother it IF you do not use pedal clips (IOW, push only, no pull). I started that intermittently. I pulled mine running, and I did no running whatsoever for about 3 weeks.
