Pretty embarassing injury...tell me good news

haha so....somehow i pulled something in my special area. i see people posting about injuries all the time here so i figured id give it a try.

about 2 weeks ago, horrible sharp pains all through my leg pit area and just 1 ball. started getting better as i laid on the couch all day, thoughout the next couple days it started to taper off. its still a little sore from time to time, only really re-aggrivates when i sit for long peroids of time, or go play a little "xxx jiu jitsu" with a female partner if you know what i mean. it never re-aggrivates to the actual sharp pains, just a little "hey thats a little uncomfortable" feeling.

talked to my pops he said its happened to him a few times when he wrestled hard back in the day. the cord thingy i guess gets a little strained. i dont really want to go to the docs because its expensive, im young and dont have good health insurance. and im poor.

any ideas? has this happened to you guys before? i know all about pain and i know the difference between "you need to get this checked out immediately" pain and just a little muscle pull . this feels like the latter

laugh it up and gimme your ideas, thanks!!

If I break a knuckle, chip a tooth, hurt my ankle or fuck up my shoulder, I give it a while and work it out on my own.

If something near my junk fucks up, I run to the doctor immediatly.

Go see a doctor, if you wait to long you may never be able to have kids to tell them that you went through the same thing when you played xxx jiu-jitsu

Sounds like a groin pull, I've had it happen before. As long as there's no hernia popping up in you lower abdominal area or bulges/hard lumps in your testicles then you should be O.K., but do go to a doctor if you have have such signs.

This kind of injury takes time to heal up. You just have to lay off the workouts and be patient. Once you feel no more dull aches down there then easy back into exercising by doing a light warm up & GENTLE stretching. Increase intensity gradually.

At first when you said special area I thought you meant vagina, but I continued reading.

Man that sucks you only have 1 ball though.

it could be a hernia, but as mentioned before, see a doctor.

If it's a hernia, you'll usually notice a lump or slight bump a little above the groin. My buddy is a runner and had the ball pain you described (forget the name for it, 'ball pain' seems clear enough though) and basically the doc just had him not exercise (including xxx sports) until he healed.
