Help plz, any doctors here?
Hi is anyone here a doctor or someone who knows abit about sports medicine or rehab?
I have some serious problems right now that impede my ability to train/work/enjoy life!
I have a rib injury since childhood that has recently got bad, I did some studying on it and it seems to be the "pulling rib syndrome" which is every time I put myself in a bad posture that puts pressure on my ribs, my right upper rib which I think is the "true rib" starts coming out and causes unimaginable pain and my "treatment" is to push it back in which actually feels good (retarded as it sounds)
An even bigger problem is my chest. The right upper side of my chest has been bothering me for the last year ever since I injured it doing snatch and cleans in the gym. It is extremely irritating. Any twisting movement with my upper torso causes discomfort and pain. An illiterate and A**hole doctor whom I think is racist told me that I have a "musculoskeletal" chest injury which there is "NO CURE FOR!" and that I should stop doing MMA for good. What kinda advice is that?! Besides twisting, any pressure on my upper chest or me sleeping on my right side hurts my chest alot.
I have a Doc appointment which is not until next month because they are all booked until then so I want to know some info from you guys. Anyone here ever have a musculoskeletal injury? And is it in the chest? This is by far the worst injury I've had and im going crazy cuz I cant even live my life. I work in the construction industry and I take care of my sick father whom I have to lift ALL THE TIME to put in bed or on a chair or on a toilet which hurts my chest everytime. Im depressed and have big problems doing my daily duties now because of these injuries. Please any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.
I dont want to stop training, many people have told me I have a talent in MMA and I really want to keep pushing, but with these injuries, it seems like im one pushup away from complete disaster. Im only 24 years old and I feel like a 70 yr old
please PM me if you know any info or websites/articles that can help me, thank you very much

Another thing about my chest. I was told by that "no hope" doctor that this is a result of the muscles and bones grinding against each other which makes sense since it feels like that.
It feels like a knife is being pushed into the inside of my chest everytime I bend over, lift an object over my shoulder line, twist my upper torso

First off man I would get another Doctors opinion because No Cure sounds lame when he could have prescribed Physical Therapy or something. Second, do you know that real name of your injury, musculoskeletal does not narrow it down much ha. And in all honesty man, you may be having to look at serious time off. Many people here spout about TRAIN THROUGHT PAIN and such, and of course not being a Nancy is important; but in the whole scope of things you don't want to destroy your body over a sport you aren't getting paid in. You talked about your sick father and having to lift him, you also speak of daily duties being difficult. I would go see a Orthopedic/Neuromuscular Physiatrist to see what you have and pain managent such as blocks and what not. If daily chores are killing you, MMA needs to be on the back burner.

thanks man, I havent trained in 3 months now. And I've just been running, cuz its the only pain free training I can do.
Im gonna see some specialists soon about this. It sucks cuz If I knew the damage i was doing to myself, I would have never trained stupid like I have done before

Like Barut said, post some pictures of it man. This guy is pretty freaky at diagnosing stuff at a glance.
