Pain endurance training

I'm wondering is there any way I can make my body (mainly my thighs) feel less pain when getting kicked.
Lately it only takes 5-6 kicks in the same place of my thigh to make it hurt like hell and any kick after that (if it hits the same place) takes me out of the fight for a couple of seconds so in a real match I would have been TKOd.

So is there anything I could do to make my thighs more numb to pain or is the only solution to keep getting hit until my body adapts and the nerve endings numben?

That will happen to just about anyone that repeatedly gets kicked in the same spot. You need to work on checking kicks. You are not supposed to be getting kicked over and over in the same spot.

It really isnt all that different from getting hit in the face, you either block it or get out of the way, or else you will eventually get your ass kicked. Leg kicks and body shots are no different.

Well yeah, I know but sometimes you aren't skilled enough to react in time and you'll get hit sooner or later.

Well yeah, that is the nature of fighting. Someone that is faster, stronger, and has better technique than you is going to kick your ass. The answer is still to get your opponents timing down and check his kicks. If you can't do this then it's going to hurt.

It's much easier to learn to check and move out of range.
The thing you need to learn really, is that when you get hit, you hit back out of instinct (due to range).

Yeah, due to range everyone at some point will be hit, the difference is people who get hit without giving back

My friend was training for his first amateur fight and his wife said why don't you let somebody hit you in the face a lot so you can get used to getting hit in the face.

I offered to hit him in the face, but he decided to not take his wife's advice.

good advice. learn to hit back once you've been hit instead of just taking it.

There is a certain amount of pain that you will have to absorb. Some guys just have killer leg kicks. They freeze you with hands and crack the leg.

1. Move.
2. Check what you can.

You will need to deal with that pain. It is the prelude to the leg performance suffering. If you show lots of pain, your opponent will see that. If you alter your game, your opponent will see that.

If you are mentally engrossed in your sparring, you will feel them less. After class you will drag your leg home. Stretch and ice it. Ultimately they get a little better at taking impact but never as much as you wish.

Try training your legs the same way you train your abs to take a punch. Have a training partner lightly kick you or hit you with a hard foam roller in the area you wish to toughen up. Make sure to exhale and tighten the muscle before impact. This will not only build pain tolerance but will train your body the proper mechanics of receiving a strike. Make sure to build up gradually, but eventually you will notice an increase in pain tolerance, muscle hardness and reaction time.

This is how I was taught by the nephew of a thai champion.
