Hey bro, you recognized the problem thats step one, step two is figuring out what to do, step three is the hardest wich is sticking to it. Jiu Jitsu/submission wrestling is a great move and thats going to build cardio , and "wrestling strength" like nothing else.I would also suggest a conditioning routine besides just hitting the mat, wich will definetly set your metabilism into overdrive and your strength and conditioning will increase 10 fold. I would first focus on a 3 day full body split before getting to advanced. As far as dieting goes, eatting clean, portion controll, and just stay away from junk food ontop of everyting else your doing should get you in shape fast.

Around Feb of this year I went to the doctor and I weighed 226 lbs which is the heaviest I've ever been. I went on the Atkins, bought a heavy bag and a treadmill and went to town. I would do cardio twice a day and lift weights from time to time and stuck to my diet closely. about three and half months later I got down to 186 lbs and I've stayed at that weight ever since. I went off the atkins but still eat sensibly and only do cardio once a day or once every two days to maintain my weight. Dude, if I can do it you can and I wish you luck. (PS everyone is going to say they Atkins diet is bullshit and whatever else but it worked for me)

I've ordered a heavybag and the weights and i thought that i should do condition and the heavybag work on the same days and Randy Couture weights workout every other day that he shows on the pro training sticky's.I don't know what order i should do this in but i'm training everyday except saturday then i need to get some rest.Got any tips in which cycle i should do this in? i got a heavybag work out the randy workout and i have a bicycle to train my cardio on.Please setup a schedule for me, and if you got any tips to prevent sore muscles i appreciate it.

Bikes are fine but a treadmill is best IMO. You can run or if you're not in shape enough to run currently you can do what I do I put the tread mill on an incline of 7 or 9 and walk at about 3.5 miles an hour it's like hiking or walking up hill and you burn just as many calories as you would jogging it's also low impact if you have knee problems.

I don't have any room and i got a condition where i don't like to be around lots of folk so going to a gym is out of the question nowadays so i can't use a treadmill but thanks for the tips i'll do that when i get better. But does anyone have any tips for setting up a workout program that i get the most out off? like i said i got a heavybag that i'll be boxing and kicking on, and i got a bike for cardio and i got weights to do the randy couture workout on.But i don't know in what order i should be doing the cardio and muscle workouts in.Like should i do boxing and cycle one day and do randy couture weight workout 2 times the next day and keep it like that? or should i box and do the weightlifting? i have to say my legs are very weak after the bike, so i don't know if it's healthy to do the weight training after? anyone got any plans for me?
