O/T observation- New Gym Phenomenon?

Ok so yeah we've all seen the bench-hog, the guy who curls at the squat rack, the bowflex guy, the power-walk for 4 hours guy, but ive begun to notice another trend which involves the fat, old, lazy, or just plain ugly:

People sitting on exercise bikes, reading or watching TV, without ANY motion of the legs whatsoever. Has anybody else seen this? On two occasions ive seen people just sit there motionlessly for my entire workout, and i periodically check up on them too because of where the water fountain is located. No movement at all.

Yeah, I've seen it to. I call them "sleepers" because one time I actually saw a guy shake himself awake after holding the same position, with eyes closed, for about 10 minutes (granted he was about 70).

What I wonder is if they tell people they've been workign out three or four times a week for an hour or two.

Back in high school, I had a weight lifting class. The problem was, a lot of people would take the class so they don't have to do anything, or they can do homework they had forgotten. A big handful of Mexicans were notorious for sitting on equipment and pretending they don't speak English when you ask them if they're going to use the bench, or whatever their lazy ass is blocking. One kid tried that "no englasias" bullshit and I watched him order food at lunch flawlessly like a week later. Amazing, eh?

The two hot chicks sitting on the hamstring curl machine.. who cares? No one uses that gay machine, and, well, having attractive girls watch always helped me boost my lifts on that last rep or max. Having some Mexicans sit on a squat rack is reason for action.

There are lot of "half-sleepers" also. They usually sits on some useless machine e.g. curl machine, lifting in "zombie"-mode, looking around at other stuff in the gym as they curl with an expression on their faces like "I´m fat, will-less and dont wanna be here".

Even though these people may be lazy and completley clueless on how to work out properly we must give them some respect: they are there at the gym, doing something. That fact alone earns them more respect in my eyes than someone who dosent even make that little effort to BE there. Just showing up dosent require much effort...but it requires effort.

out here in bangkok ive noticed way more of those then back home in cali but the worst
thing out here is all the bodybuilders are ***s like most men out here (thats not bein mean im serious most of the men out here are gay or bisexual or transexual, its fuckin trippy) and they sit there in groups of 4 or 5 dancing in front of the mirror and looking at eachothers bodies n asses and then doing the bodybuilding poses to gay 80's american hits. And whenever I come in they start chattin to eachother in english instead of thai like lil ***s so it gets distracting n annoying and I just wanna grab a fuckin barbell and smash it into their skulls n kneecaps
