Icon8 Nosebleed Prevention

I was thinking about this today after an especially bloody morning workout. I have a problem with getting nodebleeds and wish to find a way to prevent them. If I get whacked on my nose it normally starts bleeding. Hell sometimes I can stand up too fast and start bleeding. I was wondering if there is any kind of nose conditioning to porevent such issues. I'm wanting to fight and so far the only thing I have found to help with nosebleeds are silver nitrate sticks at the doctor to burn the capillaries inside the nose.

Anyone have any other ideas? Its not from a dry nose because I use a saline gel on the inside of my nostrils every night before I go to bed.

Cauterization can make it worse. I've had it done 3 times ( I played hockey when I was a kid) and then I was told after it makes more scar tissue inside and wono't help. When I spar I put a dab of vaseline on a Q-tip and put it inside the nostril. You have to use a fair bit, but not too much and you should press fairly hard on the outside of your nose to make sure it "takes".

It might take a few tries, but I'd say now that I have it down, I get a nose-bleed maybe 1:20 times.

Hope that helps.

Just put one of these up there. It would be worth it just for the dirty looks.

Speaking of Feminine Hygene, I used to use Maxi pads for a Sweat Absorber on the inside of my Race Helmets when I was racing Fourwheelers. They worked great.

I've heard the vaseline thing before but haven't had a chance to try it. If the Vaseline fails, I'll give the Un Scented Tampons a try.

There are nose-bleed stoppers you can get from the drugstore. I bought some when they were on sale, but haven't needed them yet.

The best nose bleed stopper was shown to me by my wife. I get bad nose bleeds that would drip like a faucet for half an hour straight. Now, when I get them I either snort some vinegar or dab some with a Q tip and it stops instantly.

So we have to look at your wife naked, then dab vinegar onto the nose bleed?

I have had this problem since i was young. I brought it up to my doctor my freshman year and she told me to use a q tip and neosporin put it in my nose. Only tried it once, but it would make sense to do it before a potential nose bleed.

Vitamin K maybe? Some people are just bleeders, but it might be an underlying pathology like high blood pressure or vitamin/mineral deficiency. I had my nose cauterized, didn't work. But over time I stopped getting nose bleeds (I did several things including getting in good shape and eating raw hot green peppers that my dad got at a chinese grocery). There are tons of nose bleed stopping products on sports medicine websites including this nose sized tampon; https://www.medco-athletics.com/Supp...?Leaf_Id=35570 There is also a product which instantly clots the nose bleed, but I can't find the link for it.
