Getting ready for 10K.

I haven't really been running as much as I should, but I think im going to do the sun run still in 8 days, IS there anything I could do now to help me threw it? im just going to eat good and hopefully I can run the full thing. What kind of breakfast should i have on the day of the run, it starts at 9:00am.

Nothing that will make you need a shit, which with runner's bowel-prone bowels like mine rules out oats. If I plan to run early I'll down a few eggs with toast then maybe a banana.

How prepared are you for 10K?

I have a question, how far would I have went if I slow jogged steady for an hour? I just had a run yesterday that lasted an hour, but I forgot my step counter..

We can't answer you there mate. It could vary between 5 and 8 miles.

As long as you know you won't be finishing first you'll be fine. As long as you can jog for about a hour->hour 20 (which isn't THAT bad if you have something to occup your mind) you'll get through it

i suggest making a banana smoothie the morning of the race. take a banana, cup of milk, a bit of yogurt, and blend it all together. Throw on some cinamon if you want. It is pretty good, and easily digestible. I also suggest that you have at least a half hour to warm up. I usually run a SLOW jog for few minutes, then a light stretch, then a faster jog for a minute or two, then stretch. oh yeah, download the beatdown and bring a music player. My final bit of advice is to take a shower and look decent because there might be some hot girl runners.
