Who here has Kettlebells?

I know the topic is taboo. I'm not trying to start a KB bashing thread or a KB are teh awesome thread.

I got back into using my old 16kg for my conditioning work at the park. Just thought we could share some KB workouts here. Most other sites will refer you to purchasing some book they're trying to sell, so at least we can cut out some of the fluff here.

I have a 3 of them. Usually I just use them for high rep swings and snatches, since my heaviest is 25kg

yeah I had a 20kg before as well. I might go out and get a 24kg bell in a couple of months.

I've been throwing my 16 at the park, lots of fun.

Does nobody get mad at you for that? It sounds like a blast. Hell, I guess I could do it in my back yard - I'm a renter, fuck them.

I was working out at the park, just doing some swings and snatches and I guess some old fart saw me and called the cops or something because a few minutes later a squad car pulls up and two cops come up to me and ask me what I'm doing.

So I tell them I'm just working out and what not, out of nowhere this old lady who admits that she's the one who called the cops comes running over telling them I'm up to no good and all that.

The officers were like "ma'am, he's just working out here, we don't see him causing any trouble." So she gives them one last rant and walks off while the cops are rolling their eyes. We chatted for a bit after that.

That wasn't the first time someone has called the cops complaining about me working out at the park. I like the go their really early, sometimes before 6am so the only people awake are paranoid old people. Towards the end of my workouts I'm usually making a lot of noise so I may appear drunk. LOL

The best story I heard on this board was a guy (Muslim) who had problems working out in New York City with his weighted vest on.

(you can guess the crap he got wearing what looked like an explosive vest)

That's Herbie from S+P. The pigs came to his house and asked to inspect the vest. He was like 17 at the time if I remember correctly.
