I had my ligaments tacked back on my shoulder about 4 years ago.. Its been pretty good since, now my right shoulder dislocates when someone sprawls on it all the time, or if i do things with it above my head. Anyone in the same shoes and how was the recovery? I'm brainwashed ill enver be able to get good at take downs cause of this/ill be afraid of it popping out when i train again after its healed..

I have the same problem on my left shoulder, everytime i do sudden moves or twist the shoulder fast it pops out or something, i got some cortisone shots in my shoulder because the doctor thought it was just some ligaments that had gone bad.I could be playing soccer and some dude shoulder shoved me and it popps out and i either have to let it hang and it goes into the socket by itself sometimes, but mostly i have to twist it back.I know it sucks really bad, but he told me there was some operations that could be done. But i read on the internet about them and it looks like it's almost a 50/50 chance of it being good again. But i was like "dude, i'm almost crippled i need a operation" but he said "no try this first" and he gave me 6 doses of cortisone with a long ass needle.I haven't had it out since then but i believe it's just luck cus i feel and hear it it pops in my shoulder sometimes.

get it looked at by an ortho.. Otherwise you're playing a guessing game.

I agree but do any of you have loose shoulders (long and lanky body type) and have this type of problem in general? How did you over come it and were you good after surgery if you needed it?

PS - Would it be pointless to jog and work on cardio since its my weakest point besides my shoulder? Will I lose it all anyway during rehab for surgery? Thanks
