Is my workout enough?

Well i have recently started MMA and BJJ around a month ago and about a week before that i started working out in the gym my college provides. 6 days a week i go to the gym and 2-3 days a week i take bjj and mma classes for 2 hours a night. I'm not sure if my workout is enough for me or not i dont seem to get winded when we roll but when i spar my cardio is obviously not were it should be at. i'm a pretty small guy about 5'6 135 Lbs and when i work out it goes something like this

1st, i hit the treadmill i Jog a quarter mile then Sprint a Quarter mile then jog then sprint for about two miles.

After, i do that i tend to workout i dont use the free weights to much because that room is pretty full most times through out the day so i use the machines i usually work my lower back and abs first

Then i usually work on my bicepts with the curling machine, Then i use the bench press machine (sorry i really dont know the names of the machines i just use them) then i find something to work my shoulders//upper back

When i was in highschool i took a weight training class and my teacher told us to find a weight do 15 reps then move the weigh tup and do 10 reps and then do 8 reps at the end and by the time you get the 8 reps you should be struggling to do the last few... well i have been doin that for a little over a month and been trying to eat healthy and i just dont see much results yet

Any suggestions on different workout routines or things to change please any advice or things i need to change would be greatly appriciated as to i really do not know what i am doing workout wise

I'll save someone els the effort of telling you... read the FAQ, and head over to the S&P forum and read their FAQ too... I'd drop all that machine work, read up on the workouts in the S&P forum, they have some good stuff that should get you on the right track.

The FAQ's would be the right place for you to check out, check out the diet and supps one as well.

After you've read all that info, what exactly do you want to accomplish? Gain some size? better cardio? not gas during sparring (in most cases it's just because you're new to it)

faq's. You do not need to be weight training 6 days a week first off. your body HAS to have time to recover to build muscle.

There is a reason the free weight room is busy.......can you think why? Ditch all of the goddamn curls and shit you are doing. Do complex full body work. Here is a very good strength routine. You will not necessarily get beach muscles but you will be able to move more functional weight than most beach bodied retards.

Three day Pull/Press/Squat split:

Day one: Deadlifts
Deadlifts 5X5
One or two deadlift assistance exercises
Upper body pull exercise (eg. BORs or pullups)

Day Two: Bench
Bench Press 5X5
One or two bench press assistance lifts

Day Three: Squats
Squats 5X5
Front Squats 3-4X6
Whatever ham/lowback/quad assistance you’d like, but keep it limited

Two day split:

Day one:
Deadlift
Overhead press
Weighted pullup/chinup

Day two:
Squat
Benchpress
Bent over row

Seriously read the FAQ's in the S&P forum, just read them and do not start a thread like this there or you will be flamed horribly. I can hear them coming now actually, sorry.

Also read the FAQ's in the Diet and Nutrition forum to get your diet right. If you are at school then you should have no problem getting enough/ correct foods.
