My friend makes this snoring sound when he breathes

Wtf caused this to happen? Is there like a hole in his lung or something? Seriously this guy is an athletic machine but he used to be a serious cocaine addict as well. He is a little out there but hes like 2% bodyfat and ripped. When he breathes sometimes you can hear this snoring sound coming from his chest that is disgusting/creepy sounding. What causes this? Anyone know? It sounds like he has a hole in his lung or something. I know he sprints hard as hell too. Maybe he has a hole in his lung.

You mean it actually comes from his chest? I've known mouthbreathers who seem to snore all the time, but that's just because they're too retarded to keep their tongue in place. If it's actually coming from his chest then surely he's got some kind of problem and should get it looked at.

He may have a deviated septum from all the cocaine use. That could cause a snorting, but not in his chest.

I could be wrong, but I believe it's a closed or partially closed nostril. I have one from a broken nose. My nose now whistles sometimes, and I snore when I drink heavily.
