Mouth Guard.....Yes or No

Do you mob train with your mouth guard as often as possible (running, skipping, sparring, etc,) to improve you cardio?

Why? Why not

I've been told to do everything wiht it in. Pracitce how you play. You need to get used to breathing with it in....get conditioned with it in.

Ditto. I know I look like an idiot on a treadmill with a mouthpiece in but I do it to get used to it. I just tell people that I Torrets syndrome and that it keeps me from telling them what a jack ass they are.

I use a double with the air channel. It takes some getting used to wearing one of those. But after awhile you don't even notice.

.....what

Lets try and run with gum in our mouths huh

I have a double ended mouth guard, so I take it in turns when I train with it (lowers oxygen intake->decrease in lung size)

I would only use the month guard for sparring. I don't see a point in using for other activities.

If your a fighter, then yes its got a big fucking point....

I spontaniously think that when it comes to running use the mouthguard for the longer less intense runs, and when you want to press your self in intervalls and stuff dont use the mouthguard to really be able to squese as fast running as possible out of your body
+ I dont think it is as good on the short distance stuff..

I might be wrong but thats what I think...

i run with things in my mouth (insert gay reference here) like grass or a small twig to keep my saliva flowing but i don't think gum or any of these things can compare to an actual mouthpiece.
