Most embarasing moments in warm-up history

So. Last night I was running a workout for my Jits class.

Decided to hit everyone with:

did 20 push ups
30 sit ups
25 burpees
20 roll push ups
25 burpees
then 25 more burpees.

Mix in some mat running 15 seconds of running around the mat in between sets.

basically I went really really hard like ALL out from the beginning.

At the end got light headed and almost passed out, legs stopped working had to sit out for like 10 minutes. Was in a huge oxygen deficit. Horribly embarrassed the entire time. Felt like a pussy and still do. LOL. Make me feel better and tell me that some of you guys have done this too, albeit with more intensive warm ups.

Just curious what you consider a burpee?

No kidding. 75 burpees for a warmup? Might as well hit 25 more and do it for time

From my experience, burpees in an MMA/grappling class simulate sprawls, i.e., no push up. Much easier, but better for the purpose.

Actually I was educated to the actuality of a burpee so we were doing full jump pushup burpees.

Well, that's not a warm up, for the record. Repeated sets of 25 REAL burpees with running inbetween is outside of the abilities of most people I've ever trained with or heard about on Sherdog. So, it makes sense that you had to sit out.

haha you're one hardass instructor because that's one of the most brutal warmups i've ever seen. I would not be able to complete half of that without taking a break. And at least you didn't fart during the situps, which i've done several times in the past.
