i had it about 3 years ago. after the surgery there isn't much pain its more just swollen/sore. you wont be able to bend your knee for about a week. it took me about a week to walk with no crutches or cane. just ice it alot and take it east. how indepth is yours? they cut out 25% of mine bc it wasnt able to be reattached. take it pretty easy for a month and do ALL physical therapy. beleive me it will help in the long run
well i just had i today and im doing alight. theres no pain and im able to get around pretty well. They only had to take 5 percent and im able to bend it. Doc says about 3 weeks so thats what im hoping for.

i had around 5% cut as well , just make sure you rehab it well and you will not have any probelms, i was walking without crutches after 2 days but everyone heals different. Good luck with that.
I have had two actually which sucks because both were before i was 18 (19 now)
Well the first one i had the doc decided the tear was close enough to the blood supply where he could repair it and it would heal.
The recovery for that was 3 long uncomfortable months and once i got back on the mat, it re-tore and i needed another surgery.
The second time i made sure that he did not repair it, and just remove it instead. I walked out of the second surgery and was fine within a week or two.
I lost about 20% of my meniscus.
My leg feels like its 100% but im still cautious when i sit on my heels and bend my knee that far. But overall, does not effect my game.
just make sure and do the stretching exercises they give you. they are boring and get old after a while but to get all teh swelling out you must do the exercises and ice the knee after each time.
