[quote=Quest4Glory;22641033]I thought the test was to see who was in the best shape, not who can come up with the most creative test.
Shit we could run 40s for time as long as we can beat someone in it the whole point is the competition.
The key to any conditoning program is variety. Sure running 40s all day is good but how fast can you swim 1000m or finish 200 burpees? In essence, I think, creativity not only makes workouts more interesting and prevents boredom from setting in, but makes you a well-rounded athlete since you'll have a much broader base. This is predominantly an mma training site, and if you've ever trained any martial sport, you'll see that they have, in my opinion, the most demanding conditoning base required of any sport. Hence, I was wishing we could make random, more creative challenges rather than just cycling in ross enamait workouts all the time. I love ross' workouts, by the way, but I always view these monthly conditoning challenges as something that we should do out of the ordinary- a true test- rather than some challenge that everyone's done a bajillion times.
