The rollouts are hard, i think 50 shouldn't be too difficult from the knees but thats just me, i am completely open to ideas, the fortune 500 sounds like murder though.

2 min punchout drills would be hard to score, just because you have to try and count that many rapid punches it's easy to mess up and there is no standard punch, so it's easy to cheat. I like the sport specific part though as i would like to make these geared more towards fighting.

Flameboy i like sled pulling but i think there are limted people with them and they are all going to be different, that and i would like to have indoor events for us northern folk becuase of the winter, i for one can't find a track that i can even walk on yet alone run on.

Just to get in my 2 cents before the month's over:

1. Nothing where you need a track. Some us don't have access to a track. Yes, I could drive down my road and try to calculate X-meters based on my odometer or something, but that's a rough calculation and not fair to any of you guys.
2. Not a big fan of the ab wheel rollouts or anything else that necessitates the use of gear some us may or may not have. I think it's reasonable to expect that we all have access to some weights, but other than that, it gets too specialized. Would you be okay with barbell rollouts?
3. I prefer things indoors, as Michigan is rather unpredicatable this time of year and I don't want my training scedule to be put in jeopardy because of an unexpected blizzard, ice storm, snow melt, etc.

But like I said, that's just my 2 cents.

I think indoors is really to prefer for me to, considering I live in sweden and winter is about to come around.

Ab-wheel rollouts sounds fun, or we could do one more Ross challenge, but not the 500 thing, that just sounds fucked up.

Or bodyweight deadlifts for 5min, that should be fun.

Crossfit has a few that would be feasable for everyone to do.

Cindy: 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 Squats- max rounds in 20 minutes.

Fran: 95lbs barbell thruster, pullups, 21-15-9 rep rounds for time

Elizabeth: 135lbs clean, dips, 21-15-9 rep rounds for time

Helen: 400meter run, 55lbs dumbell swing x21, pullups x12, 3 rounds for time

Michael: 800meter run, 50 back extensions, 50 situps, 3 rounds for time.

Helen and Michael might be hard for some to do logistically, most would have to use a commercial gym.

Fran and Elizabeth use a fixed weight which hurts the smaller guys, but dammit just about everything else we do is easier for them.

So far it would seem:

-No outdoor or long tracks. Most people have hard time accessing these.

-No specialized equipment. Personally I think Ab wheels are cheap to buy (Canadian Tire $10) and easy to make, but I get what XTrainer is trying to say.

-Weights should be relative ie a percentage of a persons body weight.

-Challenge needs to be objective. Standard is right when he says that counting the punches could be hard to do, and more importantly, could easily be "cheated", even if you don't intend too.

I like bodyweight exercises, simply because EVERYONE can do that just about anywhere.

I also like some of those Crossfit ideas, particularly the first 3.

I like that idea too.

OK, let's get this figured out.

I'm gonna put down a few suggestions. Please, if you have any that sound good a follow the above criteria (no outdoors stuff etc) post them now. I'll make a poll for a few in about 5 hours or so, then I'm out till Wednesday. That gives us a day to recover and two days to pick the challenge.

Since Standard is running this, he gets final say I reckon, but the more ideas we get the better.

So far,
-ab roll out to burps.
-magic 50
-Cindy: 5 pull ups, 10 push ups, 15 Squats- max rounds in 20 minutes.

Fuck, I guess we'll have to figure this out in the New Year.

Peace.

+1 would it be better to do a fixed amount of rounds, for instance 15 rounds as fast as possible?
