Losing the last 5 - 8 pounds
Hi everyone, my first post here.
I am 23 years old, 5'8", and weigh 175 lbs.
I train MMA 2 times/week, and have a MMA cardio class 3 times/week. I have good definition and strength. My weakness or cosmetic weakness is my belly. I am slim everywhere else except for the belly button area. I am really trying hard to lose those last 5 - 8 pounds, but I have had minimal results in the last 3 months. My weight has stayed the same.
What kind of things would you guys recommend to help me lose those last pounds?
What kind of training should be be focusing on?
Thank you once again.

Hey man I would recommend trying your best to eat as healthily as possible. What is healthily as possible? Cut the sugars and sodas and candies for a while! You can figure out the rest, if not there is a Frequently Asked Questions area that might be able to help you in this forum.

DIET! You have to not eat refined carbs and eliminate too much sugar. I recently switched to a sugar free/lower carb diet and lost a pant size in two weeks. That pant size gave me the six pack i used to crave and never achieve. I don't really workout consistently right now either. It's just the fact that i eat shitloads of veggies (huge variety), eat tons of bean, lentils, fish, lean meats, eggs, and drink tons of water. I also cut out most of my dairy, i only eat plain yogurt and drink unsweetened soy milk. I get shitloads of protein, fiber, and essential nutrients eating this way. I literally shitoff a pant size without losing any weight either. If you're creative and have good taste buds this diet won't be too hard. You just need to learn how to cook. Complex carbs are needed but if you want to lose that last 5-8 pounds cutting them down is the only real way to get a true six pack.
This thread should be in the diet/supplements section.

Don't worry about cutting out your dairy, you can cut on full fat milk, just drop your calories by 500 and watch the weight melt off, if that doesn't do it, drop them by another couple 100 etc until you notice weight gain.

Man, if your problem is just your belly all you need is to do tons of crunches EVERY DAY!
Failing that work on your chest and biceps. If you get bigger pecs and biceps people will assume your bigger stomach is due to muscle too.

+1, post your diet in D&S and they will give you some good pointers on what you can do to lose the last bit of weight. If you haven't already, you should read the FAQ in D&S as well, it might give you some pointers that you haven't thought of yourself.
Finally, if you keep talking "cosmetic weakness" you will get mercilessly flamed around here. This isn't bodybuilding.com, if you want to lose weight to make a weight class that's cool, if you wanted to have "teh ripped abzors" for beach season you will be mocked. Even if you are more worried about just looking good don't make it so obvious, it will make your time here more enjoyable.
