Icon9 Loose skin / tightening...

Hi guys, got my AM MT fight coming up this Sunday night and very eager to get back in there.

Quick sum up: Used to compete and was 76kg and crachked my shin in comp. Came out of training and because of weak mind at the time with other b/s going on in my life, I climbed up to...get this...106kg!! Now Im back sown to 74kg in which im fightin at 73 and glad I lost all that weight.

Problem: Due to losing so much weight my skin has become quite loose and not toned, now to be honest it isnt that bad but in my mind compared to what i was 2 yrs ago, its bad. When i chucked on my new shorts yesterday to see how they look...well I wasnt impressed (photos will follow shortly) and wonderin if anyone knows anyways to get around this as Im worried Im going to be more concered how my body is lookin rather than fighting. ( i know, im quite f'ked up) but any help/advice/tips is greatly appreciated as usual.

Thanks.

Get thai pads or medicine ball and hit those area, most of the time it is the love handles that need work. Get a partner and have him hit those areas, maybe, while doin ab crunches or side bends.

As far as I know, the only way to remedy loose skin is surgery, but that's only in severe cases where people have shed a lot of weight.

Cool guys, thanks for the posts - it is a serious and metally head fu****g issue lol.

Anyway, bad news - looks like Im not fighting this Sunday due to injury in sparring that happened Tues night. Got connected with a very well placed right roundhouse on top of thigh and also messed up my bottom of shin/instep cos of this. Still pretty depressed about it and gonna go cry in the little girls room for an hour or so.

Wow you jumped up in weight quite a bit, how long were you off for? I had the same sort of thing in highschool with wrestling (not that extreme though) I went to competitions at 69kg and usually jumped up to 79 in my off season (probably the same reasons week mind no motivation ect...)

I guess I am lucky that it was not that bad so I have no exess skin, and now I constantly stay in shape because I have been kickboxing for over five years now and I don't like dropping weight too much..

Oh ya and to answer your question it depends on how much water weight you dropped, if alot of it was fat then I think the only cure is surgery... I have never heard of any other quick fix.

Good luck in your fight

as far as i know once skin stretches beyond a certain point no ammount of exercise will make it shrink, has to be surgically removed
