Legless Cardio?

From going from no activity to lots of jump rope and running, I've got a little lump at the top of my shin, just below the knee. I had it X rayed and the doctor said there were no abnormalities or breaks in the bone and this kind of thing can happen to people who suddenly become more active with high impact leg stuff. I had it in both legs and the bump is almost totally gone and painless but the right is still sorta big and hurts when I overdo it. The doctor said to just take it easy until the lump goes away. I still want to train my cardio, while I wait because my wind slides back to shit very quickly if I don't train. It's a week before my college's pool opens so I'm looking for ways of leglessly pushing my cardio in the meantime. Suggestions?

There was a thread just the other day about non-impact cardio, that may be your best bet.

Only thing i can think of thats a good cardio burn with barely any legs (obviously some are involved) and is not dull as hell is hitting the heavy bag.

not to mention protein :

I would say boxing on the pads/bag, knee work (its not really legs per say, more hip and intersection of leg and hip) and one of those arm bike things.

Theres one at my gym, basically pedals that you use...well, with your arms

Supposed to be very good for keeping your aerobic capacity up

1- Rowing

2- Circuit training

You could try something like

3 situps
2pushups
1pullup
6situps
4pushups
2pullups
9situps
6pushups
3pullups
12situps
8pushups
4pullups
...

etc...Without rest till life is a piece of shit. All you need is a pullup bar above your head. Would be good for your muscular endurance and your cardio and you should get quite a pump from it, not that this kind of thing matters but it's a bit like a reward from a hard workout.

I don't have access to a rowing machine or any other gym equipment until my college's gym opens but the circuit training sounds like a good idea.

I'm between ladies at the moment (not in the good way) but I'll be sure to remember the advice when I pick my next one up.
