lately, BAD ankle pain

First off, i've done searches. I'm not new to training, i've been boxing off an on for a couple years /bjj for 6 months....

lately- with my road work (especially since im doing alot more jumroping), I'm getting these horrific ankle pains:
It extends from about about arche between my ankle and foot (on the topside of my foot), aobut 1/2 way up myshin. It's distinctly different from runners knee/shin splints/the feeling of a sprained ankle. it almost feel as if someone has clubbed the bottom of my shins with a stick.

I mean, i can work through it.....but I'm a little worried I'm going to get a stress fracture and fuck myself.Right now my morning roadwork alternates between long distance (outside running, semi hilly), and inteverals ;every other day respectively for about 45 minutes.
i'll usually jumprope at least 20-30 minutes on top of that, some days 45 minutes (in rounds).

one thing that I might attribute to it , is that originally i was much lighter (i foguht at 172), now I'm about 200lbs (6'2 started lifting again, about 12% bf right now). I wear size 15's and have wierd arches....... and shoes have ALWAYS seemed akward and dont land right when I run.

Any ideas/insight to my problem would be greatly apreciated.

some random suggestions:
-use sport arches in your shoes
-keep the ankles very flexible
-focus on lots of calf work but also work on strengthening your tibialis as well...its awkward but i put my foot under a dumbbell and do toe raises upward, its a totally different burn in the front of your calves.
-do some work on the bosu ball or balance board

try running on a treadmill. it will dramatically lessen the impact on your body.
