Kettlebell Training
Are Kettlebells good for MMA conditioning/strength training? Anyone like them more than traditional dumbells?

I saw some MMA kettlebells on Ironmind the other day. Apparently they target the muscle groups used in grappling and striking better than normal kettlebells. You should check it out: IronMind MMA Kettlebells

Kettlebells are great for MMA. They help with your power and speed.

Kettlebells are a good tool, but they are very pricey. I have a pair of 35 lb kettlebells that I use for various things, but I don't want to buy any more because of the cost. I use them for swings, farmers walks, and object to grab while doing band sprints, for certain ab workouts, etc. 35 lbs isn't a bad weight to have, depending on how big you are. I'm 160 at the moment.

I would look into making a homemade KB before spending money on them buying from a store, as they are cheaper ways to make them. Doing a search in S&P will turn up several variations. KB's can be great but they are overpriced and a Dumbbell is just as good if not better in a lot of cases.

I personally love kettlebells. I find it much easier to perform dynamic power movements, such as the snatch, than with a barbell. They are a bit pricey, but you just have to remember that kettlebell training is just a means to an end. It's simply another tool to add to your arsenal of conditioning methods. They are no more superior and no more inferior than other modes of training.

Best KB in the history of KB's... the home made, shot loadable (up to 150 lbs) kettlebell:

Made for me, for free... TEH PWN MOTHER FUCKERS!
oh, and kettlebells are an overpriced tool, not a full training regimen.

Haha, I was actually kind of confused that you would say something like this, and that IM would put out an MMA KB...

The only drawback is that you can get lead poisoning from just looking at this thing.
