just lookin' for al il advice on cardio and weight loss

okay atm I'm 232 lbs
lost 12 lbs in the past 2 or 3 months. ( all went @ once though lol, when I kept going on the scale nothing went, but when I stopped weighing all the time then all of a sudden it all went away )

6'3 @ 232 now
I wanna lose 5 to 15 more before resuming my amateur boxing career and before I start hittin' the weight room heavy again and start building some more muscle ( no more then 7 lbs or so )

I did weightliftin' for the past year but I didn't see enuff effect imo ( prolly cause of lack of dieting ) and decided I'm actually big enuff for now, no need to add any muscles right now as I got nuff str imo and big enuff muscles, not trying to become a bodybuilder. but would like them more cut

I do however had some fat I wanted to get rid of before going back to the heavy lifting.

so I kept going to the gym but instead of weightlifting I now do
1 hour of jogging ( with a 2 minute walking break @ the 45 minute mark ) ( ~ 11 km according to the threadmill )
and either 20 minutes on the bike OR situps and other ab excercises.
I do this 4-5 times a week.
now after like 2~3 months ( with a 2 week rest during the holidayz )
my calfs are gettin' very tired cause of this, but I do see my cardio gettin' better by heaps and after 1 day of rest my calfs are back too normal also

and I was wondering if maybe I was overtraining ?
and more importantly ... would I get more effect if I would mix weightlifting into my schedule ( take out one or two dayz of cardio and replacing it with weightlifting )

also still box once a week. bjj once every 3 weeks, bjj is more for fun

I know this is not a pro bodybuilding forum or anything, just looking for some insight from fellow gymrats and maybe some more experienced people even.
thnx in advance for any answers I can get
