Jump rope while weight training?

Hey, i am 15 and trying to gain muscle mass. I am 150 right now and would be more comfortable with about ten more pounds on me. However, the non- weight traning things I do are jump roping and heavy bag workout. I don't run. So, i do five rounds of three minutes for both my workouts, going as hard and fast as I can. would that stop my muscle gain like long distance running would? thanks for reading.

If you are taking in more calories than you are burning you will get bigger. Running doesn't hamper muscle growth unless it is down for longer periods of time.

Jumping rope will only help you, not hurt you.

U have to remember that diet is an important part of any training regime. So if u r reall ylooing to add muscle, focous on ur "fightin vitamins". Don't take pills or anything like that, just make sure u take in plenty of protein, good carbs, Iron, and b vitamins.
Protein will help add muscle mass, carbs of course are energy, bvitamins help release energy, and iron helps in muscle maintaence. oh yeah and jumpin rope is a great thing to do 2.
