Jogging During Winter

Whats your take on it? Its nearly winter and the temperature are hitting negatives now but I only jog outside and have no problems with it so far for my 2-3 mile jogs. I actually enjoy it more because I barely sweet when its 35 degrees outside. Hopefully wont be getting sick from this and immunity builds up.

If your not having problems with it keep it up. I hate running outside in the winter that is when I kick in the weight circuits and complexes, rope skipping, lots of sparring and rolling.

the only part i dont like is freezing hands, and wearing gay gloves as a result. other than that i strap up with a nice winter jacket and sweatpants, thick socks too, and a beanie. I on the other hand like to sweat more, this usually helps.

With temp around here I REALLY dislike running outside on snow covered ice when it's -5 degrees out. Makes me admire the work ethic of Karelin though.

Wear 2 sweaters and sweat pants. Not joking, I do that from time to time to work up and extra sweat. Boxers to that too.

Sweating is good for you so you'd want to sweat more.

Running in winter is a bitch but it's good for you mentally in you can do it.
I'm not running too much at the moment because we have strong winds that are making it freezing to be outdoors. I'd carry on running while you can (wear loads of clothing) but if you begin to feel demotivated then fuck it off and work on some cardio in better/wamer surroundings.

I don't know if it's true but a friend told me that if you run in the winter time you need to worry about not damaging your lungs. So, he said to wear a mask when you run. Keep in mind this is "a friend told me" advice.

I run early in the morning in the winter, and while it might seem shitty for the first 15 minutes your face starts to warm up and your eyes stop watering.

Just focus on breathing through your nose, even if you end up sniffling. You don't need a mask, wear a hat and some gloves and maybe a light fleece with jogging pants.
