Indoor conditioning

If you foccussed most of your indoor conditioning around boxing related activity such as heavy bag and focus mitts would there be any downsides?

Would you miss out from not doing burpees etc?

I think you could do burpees, unless the ceiling's not that high. I like doing weightless squats.

I could do Burpees and othersuch movements but hitting thai pads or focus mitts is more enjoyable.

The more variety you add to your work outs, the more your body is force to respond. It's hard to give up a certain training routine you really like, but it will get stale, both mentally and physically.

Same with incorporating things you don't like. I hate doing some of the stuff at our conditioning classes, but they do get results, so I just do them and reap the benefits.

Maybe you wouldn't be incorporating your lower body as much if you just stuck to boxing movements. Not saying you don't use your legs in boxing, but there will get worked a lot more with burpees, squats etc.

If you're doing it for conditioning purposes, you have to do some stuff your "have to" not just what you enjoy.

bear crawl around a room 10-15 times always makes me exhausted and works a lot of my lesser used leg muscles
