I'm doing it wrong, can you help me out

I am trying to burn some fat, gain a little muscle. Today will go as follows.

I have been eating around 6 small meals a day. I need some ideas on some other small meals. Most of my meals consist of meat for protein and a form of carbs. I need to know what I am missing.

Today:

5am-3 NO2 pills, 1 cea-tech drink, 2 ripped fuel pills, 1 fish oil pill, 1000 mgs of vit c, 1 centrum A to Z

5:30am - 100 push ups

6am-yougurt-banana-strawberry shack

7:30- pack of oat meal

9:30 small amount of steak and stuffing

10:30 pack of oatmeal

11:30 PBJ sandwhich 3 NO2 pills, 2 Ripped fuel pills

1:00 salmon 1/2 baked patato

2:00 steak, stuffing

4:00 oatmeal

5:00 granola bar

100-200 more push ups throught the day
Followed by 2 hours of MMA practice.

It seems like all I eat is carbs and protein. Is that right?
What am I missing? Do you have any ideas of other small meals I can mix it up with?

I don't want to live off of protein shakes either. I heard that PBJ sandwhiches are not a good source of carbs or protein.

Too little info about what you're eating. By carbs, what quality of carbs. I believe that going with whole wheat or whole grain carbs is always a better way, exception being post work out. And by meat, what cuts, and how is it cooked. All of this matters. You should also eat healthy fats, found in nuts, olive oil, fist and flax seeds.

If you really need to lose weight, consider a low carb diet. In this kind of diet the only carbs you should really eat are fruits and veggies.

Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

Oh, and maybe change the morning pushups to a run!

Too many pills, not enough veggies. Check Berardi's seven habits.

Should be doing way more exercise than 300 total pushups!! Perhaps some veggies as well as checking out the strength and power forum!

You want to cut fat and boost muscle? Cut back on the pushups, get some dumbbells, and eliminate the PBJ from your diet.

Your daily food intake is appalling, with all due respect. You need to eat more fruit and veggies, cut the dietary fats (or at least replace them with healthier fats) and reduce your sugars.

Heck, I'd rather see you eat this. Yes, it's a shake, but it's better than what you're currently doing:

1 cup plain yogurt
1 scoop Whey Protein (22 gms protein)
1 cup pineapple
1/2 cup pumpkin from a can
2 Tbsp milled flax seed
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup water

Mix in blender on high. Drink. Yummy, and loaded with nutrients that young hardworking MMA enthusiasts need. Good luck.

more protein less carbs is something I would recommend. You need to do some more cardio though and have a more balanced diet. Cut sugars from your diet like a plague and load up on those greens. A can of tuna is always a nice little meal that is great for you.

Fasting for 13 hours is not a good idea. Like many others have said, more veges and more fruit. If you are awake for 16 hours a day you should try and eat when you wake up, then every 4 hours after. If you have enough time you could try and eat 6-7 meals per day, every 2-3 hours. I eat 5 times per day personally, with snacks in between sometimes.
Things like:

- boiled or scrambled eggs (almost always my breakfast)
- chicken breast
- turkey breast
- lean steak
- salmon/tuna

Always add some veges to these meals like spinach, broccoli, cabbage, capsicum or beans etc. It doesn't matter if you can't eat veges at every meal, but you should try and hit 4/5 with veges at least.
Snack on things like yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, apples, oranges, almonds, milk.

Good luck.
