I just got my CSCS......

......I figured this is the conditioning thread equivalent of "I just got my Blue Belt".

Anyways....for people who have certs....how does this stack up to other certs like NASM, ACE, and other ones that I don't know about?

I work mostly in a rehab setting and not in a commercial gym.

The CSCS is the door-opener. If you want to be a professional for any serious sports organization, you have to have it.

But another poster commented in S&P recently on how little you have to do to maintain the CSCS cert in comparison to some of the others (particularly the NASM cert, if I remember correctly). ACE requires upkeep, but it's a joke. It's for CPT's looking to make a buck.

But it seems none of the certs really have street cred. Maybe not a bad thing.

congrats, I plan on sitting for the exam later this year

I perosnally believe the CSCS is a better credential than the ACE or ISSA in terms of training athletes
