How much sleep each night?
If you're at the gym every day, and want to get the bare minimum of sleep, to make the most of life, but still make a recovery from a rigorous training session, how much sleep is enough sleep?
Your bodyclock adjusts to sleep your pattern, and you hear all the time that eight hours is roughly what one should aim for.
Obviously it varies from person to person.
I remember watching Mtv cribs, and an NBA player or summin said he only sleeps between four and six hours a night and that his teammates thought he was crazy. This always sticks out in my mind, especially because I believe life is too short to lie in bed.
Do any gym bunnies on here have an extremely minimal amount of sleep? Does anyone sleep for longer than average, due to an active lifestyle?
And do ice baths and other recovery techniques allow you, persoanlly to have less sleep, because a lot of the recovery has been done?

I operate best on 9-11 hours of sleep any less than 9 hours and I'm just dragging myself through the day.

Nothing will be better to recover after a exausting workout then sleep trust me. Depend's really. Depend's how old you are too. The older you are you probably will sleep less and when your a teenager you sleep like 12 hours. I usually hang well on the day when I sleep 8-9 hours.

If I sleep over 7 hours, I'm a wreck. 5-6 hours and I can do a full-on muay thai workout, work a shift and hit the gym for weights and still have energy to go out with friends etc. Everyone is different.

I wish I could get 8+ hours of sleeping a night.. But with school, work, training, lifting, homework, eating, showering.. I normally go to bed at 12 and wake up at 6.. It sucks

if i had one wish from a magic genie it would be for there to be 10 more hours in the day so i could get everything done i need to get done... and have time for a nap. ha ha.
anyone know how we can slow the rotation of the earth?

I hear you man, thankfully for me all of my classes are after 10:00 am, so even if I get into bed a little after one I can still get adequate enough sleep with all the things I have to do throughout the day.
