How do I gain weight whilst training my muay thai
Basically, I'm just a welterweight by thai standards at 140lb but want to be around 145 for when I fight; I've been near there before so putting the weight on isn't the problem. The problem is how will I maintain that weight/increase that weight when I'm doing my intense muay thai training.
Don't post and say, "don't fight at an unnatural weight then" cos Ive been there before and its good for me, I feel the difference in my striking and thats what I'm all about so its worth the hassle. Will b eating lots n supplementing with; creatine, weight gain and amino-acids.
Cheers lads

Yup, it's that easy with a fast metabolism , Try Cytogainer, made by musclemilk. Follow the directions, but if taking massive craps with your size you may want to use 2-3 scoops instead of 4. I think 2-3 is fine anyways. if i owned the company, i would want them to run out of protien quicker so people buy more also...

What are you, retarded? If he eats more, he'll gain weight, it's simple fucking math for christ sake. What do you think weight gainers are? full of calories and protein, doy.

I can understand both sides of the argument. My knee-jerk reaction is EAT MORE YOU GODAMN RETARD, but I realize that it's simply difficult for some people to ingest adequate calories through food alone.
Liquid calories in the form of weight gainers may do the trick, or, if you're into this sort of thing, grass is great for increasing appetite.

just make sure your protein intake is higher than anything else...the more protein filled foods/shakes you intake, the more you'll gain...and body types are different, for instance, if i eat heavy calorie foods, i lose weight...i only gain off of constant protein intake.

That's really sound advice. I like to get upwards of 80% of my daily caloric intake from protein. I weigh 245 of rock solid, vascular, striated muscles. It's working for me.

There is a such thing as a fast metabolism. Most weight gainers if they're smart are full of slow-digesting carbs and a slower digesting protein. This gums up the works of people with fast metabolisms. But if it were simple math these guys would be able to eat pizza all day and gain weight. That's not always the case. Plenty of people out there who eat like horses but because of what they eat it does them no good.

Not to go against the almighty Baurt but this is actually pretty poor advice. The body can only absorb a certain number of grams of protein per hour. So if you're intaking more protein than anything else (more than 40g per hour) then when you take those huge shits, that's where the excess protein is going.
Not to mention that the body needs certain amounts of carbs and fats to even be able to absorb and utilize protein properly.
Most Professional Athletes tyically abide by a 30-30-40 plan of caloric ratio nutrient-wise. 30% of daily intake from fats, 30% from protein, and 40% from carbs.
